Synopsis
Description
Khaled (12), a Palestinian boy, is on his way to see the sea for the first time in his life. At the checkpoint, Israeli authorities deny him entry. Determined, Khaled slips into Israel and begins a journey through hostile territory toward the sea. The story follows his journey and highlights the innocence of childhood in the face of the harsh realities of war.

The film had its world premiere on July 21, 2025, at the Jerusalem Film Festival. It won five Ophir Awards, including Best Film and Best Actor. Mohammad Ghasawi became the youngest actor ever to receive an Ophir Award. By winning the Ophir, the film automatically becomes Israel’s official submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
