Synopsis
Description
Hundreds of Palestinian villages were depopulated in 1948. For Israelis, it was the War of Independence; for Palestinians, it was “the Nakba” – the Catastrophe. Director Alon Schwarz interviews former Israeli soldiers and Palestinian residents to reexamine what happened in Tantura, the site of an alleged massacre perpetrated by Israelis, and to understand why “Al Nakba” is still taboo in Israeli society.
